Anne B. Keating
Anne B. Keating is Curriculum Coordinator for
Instructional Technology for the School of Continuing and
Professional Studies at New York University. She also
serves as faculty Webmaster in the Paul McGee Division:
Undergraduate Degree Program for Adults. She is an
adjunct assistant professor in the Paul McGee Division
where she also teaches undergraduate courses in research
methods and American cultural history, as well as courses
in Web design and the socio-political aspects of the
Internet. She has worked on a variety of Web based
projects, including the development of on-line
interactive student and faculty resources and a series of
Web-based distance education courses. She also served as
Webmaster for the Literacy Assistance Center, a
non-profit organization in New York City. She holds a
Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of
Maryland. In addition to her writing about the Internet,
she also writes about 20th century feminism and in
particular the work of Kate Millett.
Joseph Hargitai
Joseph Hargitai is an instructional technology specialist
at the Innovation Center of the Academic Computing
Facility, New York University. His primary focus is to
develop multimedia-enhanced learning resources for the
sciences and the arts, as well as to consult with faculty
on issues of educational technology. In addition to his
technology work, he also contributes to Connect,
the Academic Computing Facility's quarterly publication,
and writes a weekly column for the Hungarian online
magazine Internetto. His columns focus on
technology and its sociopolitical impact on an
increasingly computerized and networked society.
