NYU Press respects the privacy of its online readers and customers.

E-mail policy

 
  • We do not use tracking software or any other means to identify visitors to our web site. For each visitor, our Web server does not automatically recognize information regarding the domain or e-mail address.
 
  • We collect the e-mail addresses of those visitors who wish to be on our mailing list. From time to time, we collect the e-mail addresses of those who post messages to our bulletin boards, who communicate with us via e-mail and information volunteered by the consumer, such as requests to be on our mailing list.
 
  • The information we collect is generally used for internal review and is then discarded, it is also used to improve the content of our web site. The mailing list is used for our monthly electronic newsletter notifying consumers about updates to our web site.
 
  • If you do not want to receive the monthly electronic NYU Press newsletter or e-mail from us in the future, please let us know by sending email to nyupress.feedback@nyu.edu or writing to us at the above address and telling us that you do not want to receive e-mail from NYU Press.
 
  • NYU Press does not make the e-mail addresses of visitors or customers available to other companies.

  • If you supply us with your postal address on-line you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please let us know by sending email to nyupress.feedback@nyu.edu or writing to us at the above address.
 
  • From time to time, we make the postal address of customers who purchase books on our web site, not of web site visitors, available exclusively to other reputable publishers. You can, however, have your name put on our do-not-share list by sending email to nyupress.orders@nyu.edu or writing to us at the above address. Please provide us with your exact name and address. We will be sure your name is removed from the list we share with other organizations. You can send us your request also upon ordering by notifying us in the field Additional Instructions.
